Triple Beam Pizza: A Hipster Haven for Pizza Lovers

Located on Figueroa Street in the heart of Highland Park, Triple Beam Pizza is where artisan pizza meets LA’s eclectic, hipster vibe. This area of Highland Park is known for its thriving community of small businesses, vintage boutiques, and trendy cafes, making it the perfect home for a pizza joint that’s quickly becoming a contender for the best slice in Los Angeles.

The Atmosphere:

Triple Beam Pizza embraces the casual, laid-back spirit of its neighborhood. The walk-up style storefront is inviting, with the tantalizing aroma of fresh pizza wafting through the air. Inside, the space is cozy yet modern, with a few seats in the back and plenty of sidewalk seating outside. This outdoor seating area is ideal for enjoying LA’s sunny weather while watching the world go by on bustling Figueroa Street.

The Pizza:

What sets Triple Beam apart is its unique approach to pizza. Co-owned by Nancy Silverton, the culinary genius behind La Brea Bakery, and Matt Molina, this pizzeria offers slices by the inch, allowing you to mix and match to your heart’s content. The crust is light, crispy, and has just the right amount of chew—a perfect base for the creative toppings that Triple Beam is known for.

We sampled several varieties, each showcasing a different facet of LA’s diverse food culture. The Potato Pizza, topped with thinly sliced potatoes, rosemary, and fontina cheese, was a delightful surprise—simple but bursting with flavor. The Fennel Sausage Pizza, with its rich, savory sausage and perfectly balanced seasoning, was another standout. But our absolute favorite was the Pineapple, Prosciutto, and Jalapeño Pizza. This slice was the perfect blend of sweet, salty, and spicy, with the fresh pineapple adding a touch of sweetness that paired beautifully with the savory prosciutto and the heat from the jalapeños. We highly recommend trying this flavor combination—it's a unique twist that captures the essence of LA’s adventurous food scene.

For those looking to indulge further, Triple Beam offers whole pizzas for $41.00, half sizes for $21.00, and quarter sizes for $11.00, making it easy to customize your experience whether you're dining solo or with friends.

The Experience:

Triple Beam Pizza is more than just a place to grab a quick slice; it’s a destination. The combination of exceptional pizza, a relaxed atmosphere, and the vibrant energy of Highland Park makes it a must-visit. Whether you’re a local or just exploring the area, this pizzeria offers a taste of LA’s best with a side of the city’s unique culture.

In a city with no shortage of pizza options, Triple Beam Pizza is Urban Appetite's favorite pizza spot so far and a strong contender for the title of LA’s best pizza. From the inventive toppings to the perfectly baked crust, it’s clear that this pizzeria takes its craft seriously. For anyone looking to experience a slice of LA’s culinary scene, Triple Beam Pizza is not to be missed.

Our Recommendation:

We definitely recommend coming down to Triple Beam Pizza to try it for yourself. It’s a must-visit for pizza lovers and a place that will leave you craving more.
